Haafhd (12-1) returned to the scene of his greatest triumph to land the £350,000 (€506,000) Emirates Airline Champion Stakes at Newmarket today.

Winner of the 2000 Guineas back in May, the Barry Hills-trained colt hit the front a furlong and a half out as the brave front-running mare Chorist finally gave way.
