Today’s meeting at Carlisle goes ahead after the track passed a 7.30am inspection.

The course has had six millimetres of rain since yesterday but racing is on.

Clerk of the course Johnnie Fenwicke-Clennell said: “Racing goes ahead and the ground is soft, heavy in places.”
