Carlisle call inspection

Carlisle have called an inspection for 7.30am tomorrow ahead of their afternoon meeting.

The going at the track is described as soft, heavy in places after some significant rain in the area, forcing officials to call a morning check.

“We have had seven millimetres so far and it is forecast to rain up until 3pm today,” said clerk of the course Johnnie Fenwicke-Clennell.

“There’s a little bit of surface water about but hopefully if it dries up we have a good chance of racing – we wouldn’t want a great deal more rain though.”
