No stopping Missunited
She’s had just one run over flights, making an impressive debut when beating the useful and subsequent dual winner Top Madam by four lengths at Listowel.
In the meantime, the selection has shown plenty of improvement in three outings on the flat, starting with a narrow defeat behind Oilily at Leopardstown.
Then she easily beat Train Of Thought over a mile and six at Ballinrobe, before dropping down to what looked an inadequate 10 furlongs at Clonmel five days ago. The daughter of Golan, however, made light of such a consideration, defying top weight of 10-0 in a handicap with the minimum of fuss. Missunited is clearly most progressive and, though this is a far stiffer test compared to her maiden success at Listowel, is fancied to come through.
Another who is most progressive, Mouse Morris’ Baily Green, is the choice in the Deacy Gilligan Novice Chase. A terrific jumper, he is unbeaten in his last three races over fences. Baily Green had his attentions turned back to hurdles on his latest appearance, contesting a very competitive handicap at Killarney.
He came through that with reputation greatly enhanced, finding plenty for pressure in the closing stages to beat Domination by a nose.
Michael Hourigan’s Craigs Dream - Barry Geraghty is a significant booking - gets the vote in the O’Leary Insurances Handicap Hurdle. He tried to make all, and was still in charge, when falling two out in the contest won by Face Facts at Cork last time and runs off the same mark now.
The modest Faustina Pius, third to Sizing Machine and Defence Of Duress at Down Royal, may have found her level in the moderate Parkmore Maiden Hurdle.
