Estrela Brage can finally deliver
He has run well in all three of his outings over jumps so far and it is encouraging Edward O’Grady turns him out again just ten days after his latest outing.
The eight-year-old has clearly had problems, but seems in good shape right now and this is not the most testing of assignments, even if he does face 19 rivals.
The selection was returning from a break at Sligo last week and was a big drifter in the market.
He travelled and jumped beautifully through that contest, but emptied at the back of the last and was beaten eight lengths into second by Son Of My Heart.
The form is ordinary, but Estrela Brage is entitled to come on for the outing and going back two furlongs in trip looks a plus.
Ruby Wash is a significant booking for Bobs Pride, in the Limerick Junction Chase, and Dermot Weld’s charge gets the vote.
He has been rested since finding two and a half miles on soft ground all too much when fourth to Chicago Grey at Navan in September.
Bobs Pride is, however, a smart summer horse, who goes well fresh and fitness will hardly be a worry.
Ted Walsh’s Heavenly Blues can take a very tricky looking five-runner Tipperary Racecourse Supporters’ Club Hurdle.
He returned to action this season, following a long absence, and has been shaping nicely.
Heavenly Blues was, for instance, a good fourth to Jumbo Rio at Punchestown and chased home Call The Police, also at Punchestown.
His last run was at the Cheltenham festival, far from disgraced in finishing 8th behind Buena Vista in the Pertemps Handicap Hurdle.
Ainama had an impossible task when beaten by Mossey Joe at Killarney and may be worth risking in the www.tipperaryraces.ie Beginners Chase.
