The imposing juvenile is on the upgrade and there was much to admire about the way he battled when scoring at the Curragh last month.

The selection buckled down in terrific style for Keagan Latham in the closing stages to beat the smart Radharcnafarraige by a short head, with the third a further five and a half lengths away.

The Ascot-bound Jim Bolger-trained Radharcnafarraige has won twice in the meantime, so the form has more than a solid appearance.

Lyons and Latham can also take the opening Cheestrings EBF Auction Maiden with the once-raced Joe Eile.

The son of Iffraaj made an encouraging enough start at Fairyhouse when a head second behind Cat Fire and, though the bare form is ordinary, he can surely only improve and this does not look too stiff a test.

Feature event is the Group 3 Kerry Group Noblesse Stakes and, though there are only six runners, it is a real puzzle.

A hopeful vote falls on David Wachman’s Unity, who gave the impression she may be much improved when taking a maiden at Fairyhouse.

Truth to tell the daughter of Sadler’s Wells didn’t have a lot to beat that evening, but coasted to victory and seemed to relish stepping up to a mile and a half for the first time.

At Limerick tonight. Wachman can provide us with a winning nap in the shape of Sydney Harbour in the Irish Daily Mirror EBF Maiden.

The son of Danehill Dancer ran moderately first time out behind Aidan O’Brien’s Jackaroo at Gowran Park, but stepped up on that effort at the Curragh subsequently.

He was deprived of a clear run at a vital stage, but came home really well to claim third in a contest won by Dermot Weld’s Moonlit Garden.

Weld’s Palm Ridge gets the vote to make a winning seasonal reappearance in the Loughwood.net Creosote Fencing Maiden.

He performed with distinct promise on the second of his two outings as a two-year-old when a creditable fourth behind the smart Keredari at Roscommon.

At Roscommon tomorrow Grand Opera, who came home strongly when beating Flag Of Honour at Ballinrobe, gets the vote in the Dermot Hughes Toyota Car Sales Novice Chase.
