Go with Galilei

VIA GALILEI is a confident nap choice to land the boylesports.com Race at Dundalk tonight.

Go with Galilei

The son of Galileo appears rapidly on the upgrade and is likely to ask serious questions of his rivals a fair way from home.

Jim Bolger’s three-year-old won a moderate maiden in smooth style at Wexford, as a prelude to stepping into Listed company at Galway earlier this month.

He produced easily his best performance to date, beaten three lengths into second spot by Aidan O’Brien’s Honoria.

Down in class and with 7lbs in hand of most dangerous opponent, Lunduv, Via Galilei has to be a strong fancy.

Feature event is the Listed Diamond Stakes and this promises a really good race, bringing together course specialists Fiery Lad and Green Tabasco, as well as Arch Rebel and Zulu Chief.

Fiery Lad loves this track and, along with Arch Rebel, is the highest rated horse in the contest. He is trained by Ger Lyons, who has a terrific record at Dundalk, so has to be respected.

The vote, however, goes to Zulu Chief, who has a lot of potential. He won his maiden, at Naas, by a ridiculous 20 lengths.

Since then, the Fusaichi Pegasus colt has got bogged down in testing conditions at Leopardstown and the Curragh.

Zulu Chief could well make into a more than decent four-year-old next season, but will have to at least go close here if such thinking isn’t a long way wide of the mark.

John Oxx’s Aspectoflove can provide the solution to the opening Shane McGuinness Construction Auction Maiden.

She had a very bad draw, in very bad ground, when sixth to Brazilian Spirit at the Curragh and has more going for her now.
