Hasanka up for the Cup
John Oxx’s Kalanisi filly won a Listed event in September and returned to the fray in good shape this term, twice going close at Group Three and Listed level.
Hasanka found only Jim Bolger’s Ezima one length too strong when stepping back up to Saturday’s one-mile-six-furlong trip last month and is expected to go head to head with that rival once more.
Oxx said: “She runs at the Curragh and has been running very well, she’s been very consistent.
“There wouldn’t be much between her and Ezima, who would probably be the favourite if Septimus doesn’t run.
“She has no real ground preference, she stays very well and she’s a good filly who should run another good race.
“I’m sure she’ll run well but it’ll obviously be a tough race to win.”
