Allez looks the answer
Edward O’Grady’s six-year-old, obviously slow to come to hand, has only one outing under his belt.
It was a very promising start, however, and if building on that then Alez Les Bleu should prove hard to beat.
At Navan last month he went off an unconsidered 20-1 shot, but belied the apparent lack of confidence with a cracking effort. In front over the second last, the selection was grabbed late and beaten a short head by the smart Brave Betsy with another useful sort, Rare Bob, a further four lengths away in third.
The form looks solid, Allez Les Bleu has lots of scope for improvement and stepping up an extra half mile in trip can only be a plus.
Burren Ben has a leading chance in the Cashel Beginners Chase. His sole success to date came in a maiden hurdle at Tramore and he’s clearly no star.
Charles Byrnes’ charge did, though, run a nice sort of a race when fourth to Jog On at Limerick 11 days ago and this is a good opportunity.
Two places in front of Burren Ben then was Lukie Victor and Jessica Harrington’s inmate might provide the answer to the more competitive Templemore Beginners Chase.
