"The forecast for tonight is for temperatures to get down to about minus three and then to get up to just plus one or two degrees tomorrow.

Geoff Stickels, clerk of the course at Plumpton, also issued an upbeat bulletin on the prospects in East Sussex.
"It depends when the weather comes down now, the forecast is not giving us much perhaps there may be a frost tomorrow morning and it might fall to minus two.We could race today, though, and we will just have to see what tomorrow brings."
