Marble Arch heads Fighting Fifth field
Hughie Morrison’s six-year-old has not raced since he belied his odds of 25-1 when only beaten three lengths by Hors La Loi III at Cheltenham in March.
The East Ilsley trainer also has Kylkenny in the race.
Opposition could include last year’s last year’s ‘Fighting Fifth’ winner Landing Light. Nicky Henderson’s runner was fifth in the Champion Hurdle but disappointed on his seasonal debut behind Baracouda at Ascot last Friday.
The Martin Pipe-trained Mr Cool, who almost made all the running in that race, is also in the list.
The French Furze, just a length behind Landing Light when second in this race 12 months ago, has been entered by Penrith trainer Nicky Richards.
An interesting contender would be Jonjo O’Neill’s Intersky Falcon, who showed vastly improved form in the spring winning the Merewood Homes Swinton Handicap Hurdle at Haydock in May.
He returned in triumph from a five-month break to strike at Tipperary in October.
