Marble Arch heads Fighting Fifth field

MARBLE ARCH, runner-up in the Smurfit Champion Hurdle, heads 12 entries for the £50,000 Pertemps ‘Fighting Fifth’ Hurdle at Newcastle on Saturday.

Hughie Morrison’s six-year-old has not raced since he belied his odds of 25-1 when only beaten three lengths by Hors La Loi III at Cheltenham in March.

The East Ilsley trainer also has Kylkenny in the race.
