Rich Sense primed to strike
The daughter of Mt. Livermore ran an eye-catching race at Naas just over three weeks ago and should now be primed to strike.
Dermot Weld’s charge finished seventh of 21 behind Queen Of Palms, a contest in which her stable companion, Genuine Charm, went off favourite.
Rich Sense was noted doing all her best work towards the end and stepping up an extra half mile in trip looks just what’s required!
Michael Kinane, a whopping 13 winners adrift of Jamie Spencer before Leopardstown last night, has prospects of a double with Value Plus and Civic Duty.
Value Plus has run two solid races, runner-up to Russian Blue at the Curragh and Democratic Deficit at Leopardstown, and can land the Irish Stallion Farms’ Auction Race.
Civic Duty faces a more difficult assignment in the opening division of the Monard Handicap, but may well prove up to the task. She found the fast five furlongs at Tipperary a week ago all too short when third to Acorn Lodge and Freya.
Civic Duty is fancied to reverse placings with Freya, on marginally better terms, and also cope with the potentially well weighted Ucanstep.
