Over €1m in prize money on offer at Listowel
The feature race on the day is the €40,000 Dawn Milk Handicap Chase, while the following day features The Irish Stallion Farms Nursery of €50,000 which is bound to attract some of the better juveniles around. Tuesday will be is Ladies Day with the feature race being the Listowel Races Supporters Club Hurdle of €55,000.
The Guinness Kerry National of €150,000 over 3 miles is not just the race of the day on Wednesday, but the race of the week.
Won in the past by the likes of Montys Pass, Dorans Pride, Deep Bramble, Life Of A Lord and last year’s winner Banasan, the Kerry National is becoming one of the most prestigious races on the calendar and the field this year is expected to reflect that fact.
On Thursday the feature event is the Guinness H'cap Hurdle of €50,000 while on Friday the big race is the Harp Lager H'cap of €35,000.
The meeting continues through Saturday although television coverage on TG4 will only be from Monday to Friday.
