Greyhound Board seeks new chief executive

THE Irish Greyhound Board is searching for a new chief executive after incumbent Aidan Tynan left the post in mysterious circumstances yesterday.

The Board - also known as Bord na gCon - is the commercial semi-state body responsible for the control and development of the greyhound industry in this country. It is expected that director Michael Foley will step into the breach until a replacement is found.

Mr Tynan, a member of a high-profile Galway greyhound family, previously worked in agribusiness in the Middle East.
