John Oxx’s colt, who was second to Balestrini in the Ballysax Stakes on his reappearance, is one of three entries for Oxx who also has Alisar and Masandam in the race.

Alamshar could face Balestrini again here as the colt is one of 15 entries from the Aidan O’Brien yard.

The Ballydoyle maestro has also entered Alberto Giacometti, who was third in the Ballysax, Brian Boru and Some Kind Of Tiger.

His strong possible challenge also includes Arundel, Catcher In The Rye, Dalcassian, Delacroix, Fontanes, France, Gianfanti, Handel, Meadow Hawk, Roosevelt and The Great Gatsby.

Dermot Weld is another to have a multiple entry, headed by Sagitta 2000 Guineas winner Refuse To Bend. The others are Evolving Tactics, Faadhil, Miss Nashwan and Prominent Feature.

There are two British-trained entries in the race with Richard Hannon’s Tacitus and Mark Johnston’s Jebel Suraaj.

A total of 29 fillies have been entered for the Derrinstown Stud 1000 Guineas Trial.

Hannon’ Summer Spice is the only British-trained entry while O’Brien again has a strong entry including Sagitta 1000 Guineas flops Yesterday and L’ancresse, as well as Shangri La and In The Limelight.

Two British-trained entries could line-up in the Listed Amethyst Stakes over a mile.

Paul Cole has entered Cornelius while Lincoln winner Pablo is in the race for Barry Hills.

Meanwhile, Godolphin could have two runners in Saturday's Bet attheraces on 0800 083 83 83 Derby Trial Stakes at Lingfield.

Both Graikos and New South Wales have been entered in the mile and three furlongs race, which is worth a total of £60,000.

Mark Johnston, who won the race last year with Bandari has entered Shanty Star while John Dunlop could run Big Bad Bob.

Mark Tompkins' Franklins Gardens and the Barry Hills-trained Gala Sunday, first and second respectively in the Blue Riband Trial Stakes at Epsom last time, could renew rivalry here.

Sir Michael Stoute has entered Kris Kin while the entries are completed by Foodbroker Founder, Le Me Try Again, Rainwashed Gold, Summerland and Titurel.

The Bet attheraces on 0800 083 83 83 Oaks Trial has a possible 13 runners.

Henry Cecil could run the once-race Midsummer who is a half sister to 1997 Vodafone Oaks winner Reams Of Verse and high-class middle distance performer Elmaamul.

Clive Brittain could be doubly represented with Heavenly Bay and Helderburg both entered up while Stoute could run Rich Affair, who is a full sister to the Group Two winner Whitewater Affair.

Choral Chimes, a daughter of Sunday Silence, could run for David Loder and Gerard Butler could step dual winner La Mouline up in class.

Allergy, Ciel, Flying Wanda, Garmoucheh, Santa Sophia, Sindy and Thingmebob complete the entries.

Shanty Star is not a certain starter in the Derby Trial as Johnston today revealed the horse has suffered a minor setback in training.

The Hector Protector colt was lame after winning at Catterick due to pulling a shoe off and he then missed further work after developing an abscess on his toe.

His Middleham handler is also worried about how he would handle the track.

Johnston said: "He's in at Lingfield on Saturday but we're not sure whether it would suit him as well as Bandari."
