The duo are both set to carry 11st 10lb in the two-mile race, while Mick Halford's Golden Cross and Khetaam from Noel Meade's yard are next on 11st 8lb.

Richard Fahey's Altay heads the British entry with 11st 5lb, while Nicky Henderson's Saintsaire, a leading fancy for Saturday's Ladbroke Hurdle at Ascot, would carry 11st 3lb.

Henderson's other entry, Dancing Bay, has been allotted 10st 12lb, while Mary Reveley's Colourful Life has been given 10st 10lb along with the Hughie Morrison-trained The Last Cast.

Charlie Mann's Demi Beau (10st 7lb) and Nicky Richards' Bob The Piler (9st 9lb) complete the possible British challenge.

Colin Murphy's Brave Inca completed a four-timer at Navan yesterday and the gelding could carry 10st 11lb in the Leopardstown race.

Georges Girl, who was beaten into second at Navan, has been given 11st 2lb.

Meanwhile, Hasty Prince could clash with Rigmarole again in Saturday's Ladbroke Hurdle at Ascot.

The Jonjo O'Neill-trained five-year-old has finished behind Rigmarole on his last two starts, most recently when third in the Bula Hurdle at Cheltenham on Saturday.

Hasty Prince was two and three-quarter lengths in arrears, and before that he was a length and three-quarters behind in the Greatwood Hurdle, also at Cheltenham.

The Paul Nicholls-trained Rigmarole has been installed as a best-priced 4-1 favourite with William Hill and Coral, while Hasty Prince is on offer at 8-1 with Coral.

However, O'Neill is hopeful of beating the favourite this time with a 5lb pull in the weights.

"We have pencilled him in and now all I have to do is persuade his owners, who also have Overstrand in the race, to run him," he said.

"If I get my way, he'll run. It is just a case of whether or not it will be too much for him to run twice in a week.

"He has plenty going for him he will get a truer gallop, which he needs, and he will get weight from Rigmarole, who I think is a very good horse indeed.

"There is plenty of prizemoney on offer and I've no qualms about taking on Rigmarole again."

Hasty Prince and Rigmarole were among 28 runners confirmed for the race at today's five-day stage.

Nicholls also has Sporazene, a Grade One winner at the Punchestown Festival, in the race along with Sud Bleu, while Alan King's Mughas is another possible.

Philip Hobbs could have a strong team with Monkerhostin, Reiziger and Shalako all confirmed for the £100,000 contest, while champion trainer Martin Pipe has Visibility and Fortune Island.

Other interesting acceptors include Mary Reveley's recent Sandown winner Overstrand, Turbo, winner of the November Handicap, and Nicky Henderson's highly-rated Saintsaire.

Ladbroke Hurdle betting:

Cashmans: 7/2 Rigmarole, 6/1 Overstrand, 7/1 Hasty Prince, 10/1 Tom Paddington, 12/1 Mughas.

Ladbrokes: 7-2 Rigmarole, 5-1 Overstrand, 7-1 Hasty Prince, Sporazene, 8-1 Tom Paddington, 9-1 Saintsaire, 11-1 Sud Bleu, 12-1 Mughas.
