MARK Prescott’s Danehurst made a disappointing return to action when 10th of 15 in the Benazet Rennen at Baden-Baden yesterday.

The Seb Sanders-ridden mare, having her first race since winning in Italy in November, ruined her chance with a bad start in the six-furlong Group Three contest and consequently the favourite never got in a blow to the leaders.

Sanders also reported that conditions were too lively for Danehurst.
