Athletics Ireland High Performance Director steps down

Athletics Ireland have waved goodbye to their High Performance Director, Kevin Ankrom, who returns to his native US after working with Ireland through two Olympic Games, writes Gavin Spillane.

During Ankrom's five year tenure, systems were put in place that saw an increase of over 200% in Irish athletes brought onto the high performance programme and a total of 25 medals won at major championships.
