Tennis: Henman reaches final in Adelaide
Tim Henman beat Alberto Martin 7-5 4-6 6-2 to reach the final of the Australian Hard-court Championships in Adelaide.
The top seed, who had defeated British rival Greg Rusedski in the quarter-finals, beat the Spaniard for the third straight time.
Henman will face Mark Philippoussis in Sunday's final after the Australian wildcard beat fourth seed Hicham Arazi of Morocco 6-4 6-1 in the other semi-final.
Henman will be hoping for a change in fortune from his previous encounters with Philippoussis.
The British number one has won just one of their past five meetings, losing the last four since a 6-4 6-2 win in Sidney back in 1996.
Henman said: "It certainly was a difficult match. The conditions were a little bit different, and I didn't adjust to them - particularly early on.
"The way he plays adds to that because in the much hotter conditions the balls bounce a lot more.
"I was really pleased with the way I was able to turn things around in the third set because the momentum was very much with him."
