Williams recover from blaze with a little help from rivals

Chief operations engineer Mark Gillan confirmed the team has worked round the clock over the past few days following the blaze that began just 90 minutes after Pastor Maldonado took the chequered flag in Barcelona to give Williams their first win for seven-and-a-half years. Gillan has revealed 90% of the garage infrastructure, including everything IT related was destroyed by the fire that began in the fuel-handling area.

However, their rivals have chipped in to ensure the Grove-based marque can function this weekend, starting today with the two 90-minute practice sessions.
