Suzuki sweep in World Superbike Championship

Team-mates at Alstare Suzuki, Troy Corser and Yukio Kagayama, continued their dominance of the 2005 World Superbike Championship by registering a clean sweep at Phillip Island in Australia.

Corser and Kagayama came home in first and second places respectively in both races at the 2.6-mile circuit to tighten their series stranglehold.

After profitable outings at the opening round at Losail in Qatar during February, the Suzuki duo now rank first and second in the overall standings, with Corser having amassed 91 points and his Japanese colleague 85.
