Bridgestone agree Ducati deal

Bridgestone have taken a step towards repeating their Formula One domination in MotoGP by agreeing a contract with Ducati.

Bridgestone, who have won both drivers’ and constructors’ championships for the last five seasons with Ferrari, have been easing their way into MotoGP over recent seasons.

Their tyres helped Makoto Tamada win twice this season and the Japanese company will expect to be more regular visitors to the podium after announcing a link-up with Ducati Marlboro.
