Laconi sets pace

Regis Laconi set the pace in first qualifying at Misano yesterday as World Superbike Championship leader James Toseland suffered a miserable session.

Laconi was fastest today to take provisional pole position for Ducati Fila.

Carl Fogarty’s Foggy Petronas racing team sprung a surprise by claiming second and third place on the provisional grid with Chris Walker and Troy Bayliss respectively.
