Peaks and troughs aplenty, walking into the weekend is no leisurely stroll around Quail Hollow. What was once a dairy farm still provides fertile ground for fattening the calves. The thighs and quads get a strenuous workout too.
In a sport so utterly inundated with data and analytics, the PGA somehow neglected to provide a rundown of the gradient percentages of some of the more testing hills. Maybe they were afraid the punters wouldn’t go up and down them if they knew in advance.
