Watch: Meath man sinks world record putt from over 140 yards

On the 12th hole in The European Club in Co Wicklow last Tuesday, Gavin Lynch from Skryne broke the previous record for a non-tournament putt.

While he’s not trying to play the greatest golf courses, Gavin Lynch is breaking world records.

On the 12th hole in The European Club in Co Wicklow last Tuesday, Lynch from Skryne holed out a putt of 142.8 yards or 130.6 metres, breaking the previous record for a non-tournament putt set last November by DP Tour pro David Micheluzzi on the seventh hole in Yas Links in Abu Dhabi (139 yards or 127.1 metres).
