Byrne stays in contention for LPGA Tour card

Sara Byrne: Must finish in top 25 and ties to gain a full LPGA Tour card.

Sara Byrne remains in contention for an LPGA Tour card after an up and down day two at final qualifying on Friday.

Starting on the 10th at the Falls Course at RTJ at Magnolia Grove in Mobile, Alabama, the Douglas golfer had three birdies and three bogeys on her opening nine. The pattern continued after the turn, with two more birdies offset by two bogeys before a birdie three on her final hole saw her card a round of one-under 70. This leaves the Curtis Cup star on level par overall, in a tie for 30th. With the top 25 players and ties gaining their card after the fifth and final round. Byrne is still well in the hunt.
