Garcia broken by octuple bogey
Sergio Garcia hit four successive shots into water and ran up an octuple bogey 12 in the final round of the Cadillac Championship in Miami today.
It came on the 438-yard third – a hole that also saw England’s Simon Dyson take nine and Scot Paul Lawrie six.
Even with an eagle on the first and two birdies Garcia turned in 40, the same as Lawrie, and was five over par, while Dyson managed only 43 for the front nine and on 10 over was next-to-last.
American Bubba Watson led overnight on 17 under, three better than Justin Rose and Keegan Bradley.
