Woods signs up for Honda Classic
Tiger Woods has added the Honda Classic in Florida on March 1-4 to his schedule.
The event comes between two world championships in which Woods will hope to make amends for being thrashed by 11 shots – 64 to 75 – by Phil Mickelson at Pebble Beach on Sunday.
The former world number one has never previously played the tournament as a professional, but now lives nearby to PGA National at Jupiter Island and said in a statement: “I heard great things about the Honda Classic. Now that I live here I want to play whenever possible."
