Michio Matsumura triumphed in a three-way play-off to win the Coca-Cola Tokai Classic today.

Michio Matsumura triumphed in a three-way play-off to win the Coca-Cola Tokai Classic today.

The 27-year-old carded a four-under-par 68 to finish regulation play on eight under 280 alongside Takashi Kanemoto (71) and Hiroyuki Fujita (69).

Kanemoto bogeyed the first play-off hole to drop out of the battle before Fujita double bogeyed the third hole while Matsumura made par to claim his first win on the Japan Golf Tour.

Ryo Ishikawa shot a 69 to finish fourth alongside Australian Brendan Jones (68) and Koichiro Kawano (70).
