Monty may not be one cup wonder

Thomas Bjorn, chairman of the body that will decide the next Ryder Cup captain, does not rule out Colin Montgomerie being asked to stay on.

The last player to retain the job was Montgomerie’s fellow Scot Bernard Gallacher, who lost twice before finally having success at Oak Hill in 1995.
