Dunne defends Boys Amateur Championship
Paul Dunne (Greystones) today became the first player to successfully defend the Irish Boys Amateur Close Championship with a two-stroke victory over Knock’s Colin Fairweather at Bangor Golf Club.
Dunne, who was recently announced as captain of the GB&I boys team which will take on the Continent of Europe in the Jacques Leglise Trophy at Ganton next week, fired rounds of 73 and 67 on a blustery the final day.
