The US Open is set to return to Oakmont Country Club, Pennsylvania, in 2016 for a record ninth time, the United States Golf Association announced last night.

The US Open is set to return to Oakmont Country Club, Pennsylvania, in 2016 for a record ninth time, the United States Golf Association announced last night.

Oakmont staged the US Open for the eighth time since it opened in 1903 two years ago when Argentina's Angel Cabrera held off Tiger Woods and Jim Furyk to win the first major of his career.
