Two-time Ryder Cup winner Paul Casey believes Colin Montgomerie is the right man to lead the new generation of Europeans at Celtic Manor next year.

World number 23 Casey, who made his third consecutive appearance in the defeat at Valhalla last September, has backed Montgomerie to come out ahead of Spaniard Jose Maria Olazabal tomorrow when Europe’s tournament committee are expected to unveil Nick Faldo’s successor.
