Ballesteros discharged from hospital

Seve Ballesteros has been discharged from hospital, after undergoing surgery to remove a brain tumour.

The five-time major winner has been in La Paz hospital since collapsing in October and has undergone four operations – the last of which took place last week.

However, the hospital have confirmed Ballesteros has now been allowed home.

“The patient Severiano Ballesteros has been discharged this morning by the Department of Neurosurgery and has already left the hospital,” read a statement.

“He will continue to have outpatient treatment in the Departments of Radiotherapy and Medical Oncology.”
