Katayama moves in front
Shingo Katayama shot a four-under-par 68 to take a one-stroke lead at the halfway stage of the Mitsui Sumitomo VISA Taiheiyo Masters.
The 35-year-old carded four birdies in an otherwise faultless round to move ahead of Yasuharu Imano at the top of the leaderboard and is nine under par for the tournament
Imano is in sole possession of second place following a three under 69 in his second round while five players are tied for third at seven under.
Defending champion Brendan Jones of Australia is four shots off the lead in a tie for 13th at five under par.
