Eoin O'Connor took the lead at the PGA Irish Championship as the weather-delayed opening round reached its conclusion today.

The Kilkenny man ended his first round on level par, one ahead of Mallow's Michael Collins.

Defending champion Padraig Harrington was four-over-par following his first round.

The weather delay meant round two only got underway at around lunchtime, with Harrington unlikely to begin his second round until after 5pm this evening.
