Play at the Irish PGA Championship in Wicklow resumes this morning after the opening round was curtailed due to adverse weather conditions yesterday.

Action was suspended twice due to heavy fog at the course.

The harsh conditions meant just one player was below par at the time play was called off.

Portrush man David Jones was one below after six holes.

Defending champion Padraig Harrington and veteran Eamonn D'Arcy were best of the finishers, making it back to the clubhouse on four over par.

Meanwhile, Paul McGinley and Graeme McDowell lead the Irish challenge at the Scottish Open, which gets under way this morning at Loch Lomond.
