Ireland are eight shots off the lead at the halfway stage of the Golf World Cup in China.

The Irish duo of Michael Hoey and Gareth Maybin carded a level-par 72 in today's foursomes to end the day on six under par.

Americans Boo Weekly and Heath Slocum lead the field on 14 under par, with England and Scotland both one shot back in second place.
