Hot streak eludes Cup trio

Ryder Cup trio David Howell, Darren Clarke and Robert Karlsson failed to warm to their task after a frosty reception at the Omega European Masters today.

Overnight frost at Crans-sur-Sierre meant a two-hour delay to the start of play and ensured the first round would not be completed on schedule today.
