McGinley earns a half
Paul McGinley has further boosted Europe's tally with a half in his singles match against JJ Henry.
The Irishman was handed the lead at the second after Henry missed a six-footer for par and then hit it close at the short next for birdie.
He lost the fifth to a birdie but then Henry bogeyed the next to restore the two-hole advantage.
He missed a 14-footer for par on the ninth to drop a hole and his advantage went when Henry holed from seven feet for birdie at the 10th.
Another birdie at the 11th put the American one up but he missed a curling eight-footer at 13 for par to drop back.
At the par-five 18th McGinley was on in two but Henry found sand off the tee and could only chip out and then pitch to 25 feet.
The Irishman two-putted from 40 feet and then generously conceded Henry’s putt for a half.
