Daly withdraws from Munich Open

American star John Daly has pulled out of the BMW International Open in Munich following a week of bronchial trouble.

The former Open and US PGA champion, winner of the title five years ago and joint runner-up behind David Howell last August, failed to recover in time from the illness that had forced his withdrawal both from a shoot-out on Tuesday and the eve-of-tournament Pro-Am.
