McDowell: I need Open win for Ryder Cup spot

Irishman Graeme McDowell believes he will probably have to win this week’s British Open at Hoylake to stand a chance of making Europe’s Ryder Cup team.

McDowell, a former Walker Cup star, would dearly love to play against the US at the K Club in Dublin in September.
