Adare Manor in Co Limerick will host the Irish Open for the next three years after the five-star resort agreed a deal with the European Tour.

Adare Manor in Co Limerick will host the Irish Open for the next three years after the five-star resort agreed a deal with the European Tour.

The tournament, previously held at Colin Montgomerie’s Carton House course and won by Thomas Bjorn last month, is also looking for a new sponsor after Nissan discontinued their support.

Adare Manor staged the Irish Seniors Open from 2002 to 2004 and European Tour executive director George O’Grady said: “We are delighted to enter into this agreement, which will see a championship with such a long and distinguished heritage as the Irish Open join forces with a superb golf course.”
