Campbell: Tiger raised the bar

US Open champion Michael Campbell thanked Tiger Woods – the man whose challenge he held off at Pinehurst last month – for making him a better player, one capable of winning at St Andrews this week.

The New Zealander closed out a two-shot victory for his first major tournament win after the world number one faltered in the latter stages of the final round.
