Gate receipts for the GAA at national level jumped by €6.6 million to €45.744m in 2025.

While commercial income remained steady above €23m, the changes to the rules of Gaelic football and the structure of the National Hurling League contributed to the gate receipts increase.

Almost €4m more was recorded by the All-Ireland senior football championship - €22.228m compared to €18.279m in 2024 – while the hurling equivalent brought in almost €1m more than ’24 - €13.265m versus €12.355m.

Attendances for the All-Ireland SFC grew by 25% (total 641,429), the total crowds for the All-Ireland SHC rose by 11% (total 266,170) while those National Football and Hurling Leagues increased by 19% and 43% to 271,229 and 491,565 respectively. The Tailteann Cup attendances experienced a massive jump of 55% to 44,878.

The hurling league accrued €3.425m last season, a significant jump of €1.436m largely down to the sold-out Cork-Tipperary final in SuperValu Páirc Uí Chaoimh last April and the jeopardy added to the Division 1A format (relegation of two teams). The football league showed a slight improvement to €4.784m from €4.628m.

The GAA’s total national revenue was €141.9m when it was €132.9m in 2024. The distribution from Croke Park was down from €16m to €13.5m but there were more concerts in 2024.

The total combined surplus was €9.9m, up from €9m in 2024. The consolidated surplus for the GAA was €3.7m, down from €6.3m in 2024. Total consolidated revenue was €142m, which was an increase of €9m (7%). from the previous accounting year.

A total of €9.4m was spent on player welfare, €18.2m on match-day competition costs, €6.1m on county grounds redevelopment grants, €19.9m on team grants and distribution to counties and players, €15.2m to coaching and development and €4.6m to clubs developing their facilities.
