Scott still on course for victory in China
Adam Scott remains on course for his fifth European Tour victory in the delayed Johnnie Walker Classic in Beijing.
Scott will take a commanding six-shot lead into the final day at Pine Valley having completed 10 holes of his third round.
The world number 10 added a second round 66 to his opening course-record 63 on Saturday, and then recorded five birdies and one bogey in the third round before play was suspended at 6.45pm local time.
Sweden’s Henrik Stenson and American Gary Rusnak are his nearest challengers on 13 under, Stenson picking up six birdies in 12 holes this afternoon.
Double US Open champion Retief Goosen is a shot further back on 12 under after 11 holes, alongside fellow South African Richard Sterne and Scotland’s Steven O’Hara.
Ireland's Peter Lawrie shot a 69 to leave him seven over.
Scott put his only bogey of the day down to a "lapse in concentration" on the sixth but admitted he was delighted with his position.
“I did what I had to do,” Scott said. “This afternoon was about making a few birdies and hopefully staying in front.
“Hopefully we’ll get nice conditions tomorrow and keep things rolling because I feel comfortable.
“Retief is playing well and has found his stride and he seems to be the danger man.”
However Goosen, who will be aiming for back-to-back US Open titles in June at this year’s Baltusrol venue, insisted: “I’m a bit too far behind to win the tournament. I can just try my best and see if I can finish up there in a good position.”
