The toughening up of Augusta National has continued with the planting of 36 pine trees right of the 11th fairway in advance of this year’s Masters.

“It continues our long-standing emphasis of accuracy off the tee,” said club chairman Hootie Johnson.

The other change from last year is that the 13th green has been rebuilt and had a heating and cooling system installed.
