Three leading golf management companies whose clients include Ireland's Darren Clarke and Paul McGinley, Phil Mickelson, Lee Westwood and Paul Casey today announced a joint venture agreement on the eve of the US Open.

Chubby Chandler’s International Sports Management, Arizona-based Gaylord Sports Management and Sydney-based AJB Sports Management are combining forces so that their players are represented around the world.

“Representing stars from the American and Australian tours in Europe presents great benefits not only to the players, but to the tours and golf fans everywhere,” said Chandler.

“We are delighted to add our experience to two of the most respected companies in the ever-expanding world of golf.”

Steve Loy, Gaylord’s president and chief executive officer, added: “Having extremely well-qualified and respected managers in various countries is essential in what has become a worldwide market for a worldwide game.

“We’re absolutely delighted with this partnership and are certain that our common experience and goals will ensure success for our clients.”

Among Gaylord’s clients are Mickelson, reigning US PGA champion Rich Beem and Casey, who has a home in Scottsdale, Arizona.
