Garcia withdraws from pro-am

Spanish star Sergio Garcia withdrew from the traditional pre-tournament pro-am event at the Johnnie Walker Classic today with a hamstring injury.

Garcia, who has been in typically fiery form with the media, blamed it on a kick-about with Ernie Els the previous day, but has indicated he will be fit to tee off in the tournament proper tomorrow.
