The delayed match between Europe and the United States, beginning at The Belfry tomorrow, will be shown by 45 broadcasters transmitting over 800 hours of a mixture of live, delayed and highlights coverage.
European Tour Productions will provide over 300 of the 800 production staff at the event, and will use a huge range of equipment including 55 coverage cameras, an airship, three computerised scoring graphics terminals, 135kilometres of cable, 800kilowatts of power from eight generators, 30 camera towers, 45 portacabins and six studios.
The three-day event will see Sam Torrance’s men attempt to regain the trophy they lost at Brookline in 1999.
